You are most likely aware that every cause related ribbon organizes a walk to support the ribbon they represent. This walk we are about to share with you resembles no other walk ~ this walk is different! The Project U.S. Weaving of the Ribbons Walk allows everyone to join together, at one time, to strengthen community connectedness and increase community awareness and acceptance of all ribbons. We have found that some ribbon holders experience stigma and discrimination and may choose not to walk for their cause i.e. domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, eating disorders, and sexual abuse just to name a few. By weaving all of the cause related ribbons together we walk as one, support one another, educate the community and connect.

Project U.S. begins with "us" – dollars raised remain in the "U.S." and the community specifically where the Weaving of the Ribbons Walk is held, and the recipients are 'us' directly or indirectly. The net revenue raised by this community walk will be invested back into the community and distributed to the cause-related organizations equally. One never knows when they will begin to carry 2, 3, or even 4 cause-related ribbons ~ however, it is nice to know that we are sustaining programming here in our own backyards and not filtering money elsewhere.
